Tenant screening is standard for most landlords, property managers and apartment complexes in the United States. Many landlords will not rent to prospective tenants without first verifying credit worthiness and ability to pay rent. Move into your new home sooner by allowing your potential new landlord to review your reports through our secure online system. Act fast and avoid your chosen rental going to another tenant.

How long does it take to set up an account?

It just takes a few minutes. You will be sent an authorization email with a link to complete your registration. You will be required to answer security questions in order to complete your account activation and verify your identity.

Why do I have to answer security questions?

Correctly answering security questions verifies your identity. Credit reports contain sensitive information and can only be shared with rental professionals. For this reason we are required to verify your identity. Personal information such as account numbers or social security numbers are never stored or shared.

What if I answer my security questions incorrectly?

The security questions are designed to have answers that only you will be able to quickly and accurately answer. You will have 5 minutes to respond to the questions. You have 3 chances to correctly respond. If you answer incorrectly 3 times your account will be locked for 72 hours.

Why is my social security number required?

Social security numbers are required to order reports. Your social security number is not shown to the landlord.

Will this hurt my credit score?

Our credit reports are “soft-hit” reports, meaning the order will not change your credit score or show up as an inquiry.

What if I have a security freeze on my credit report?

The security questions are generated from Experian’s records so if you have a security freeze or hold on your account you will not be able to complete the authentication. Please place a temporary “freeze lift” to your credit file in order to proceed.

Why am I being asked for payment?

If you are prompted to input payment details the landlord has opted to pass the cost to you as a processing fee.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Will I be able to view my results?

Yes. Upon completion of your authentication and payment you and your prospective landlord will have access to view all ordered reports.

How long does it take to see the report results?

Reports will be available to view upon your completion of security question validation and payment.

How do I view the reports?

You will receive an email notification when the reports are available to view. Simply log into your account and review completed reports under the REPORTS tab at the top of the screen. Reports are available to view online for 30 days.

Why can’t I see account numbers or social security numbers?

Due to the sensitive nature of credit reports, account numbers and details are omitted for security. Both the landlord’s and tenant’s personal information is always protected.

What if I don’t want to share my report with the landlord?

If you choose not to proceed with the order do not complete the authentication. The prospective landlord may decline your application if you do not authorize the order. Tenant screening is standard procedure and many landlords will not blindly rent to prospective tenants.

What if there is incorrect information on my report?

You can process a dispute within your online account for disputed/incorrect information.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are not available for reports that have been ordered regardless of completion status.
